On 12 February 2021, 14:00 UTC - 18:00 UTC, maintenance activities targeting implementation of security patches and database upgrades will be applied in the China (Shanghai) [neo-cn1], Japan (Tokyo) [neo-jp1] and Australia (Sydney) [neo-ap1] regions, as part of an overarching Cloud Platform Major Upgrade.

During this period, the SAP Cloud Platform services will be updated as follows:

[Audit Log Retention API] Between 14:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC no audit logs will be able to be retrieved via the API. The Audit Log write functionality will not be affected.

[Commercial Infrastructure] Between 14:00 UTC and 15:30 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 30 minutes will be experienced. Customers will not be able to perform some of the operations on their subaccounts.

[Document Center] Between 15:30 UTC and 15:45 UTC the service will not be available.

[Theme Designer] Between 15:30 UTC and 16:30 UTC service consumers will get SAP fallback theme instead of custom theme.

[Monitoring] Between 15:30 UTC and 16:30 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 35 minutes will be experienced. Customers will not be able to see historical metric data. History of the application (Java, HTML5, XS) and DB metrics will not be available. 

[Business Rules] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC tenant onboarding/offboarding, creation of Business Rules artifacts and Invocation of rule service will not be possible. The REST API will not be reachable.

[Forms by Adobe] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:00 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 60 minutes will be experienced. Customers will not be able to create any form output (PDF, PCL, PS and other print files).

[Workflow Service] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:00 UTC an upgrade of the service database will be performed. The customers will not be able to reach the REST API.

[Extensions Service] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:00 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 30 minutes will be experienced. Managing the SAP CP extension package for SAP SuccessFactors will not be possible. This includes initial configuration, activation, deactivation and restore operations. Usage of the SAP Cloud Platform SDK console client command will not be possible.

[Software Logistics] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:00 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 30 minutes will be experienced. Deployment of MTA archives will not be possible. There will be no disruption of running services, but applications could not be installed or updated.

[OData Provisioning] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:15 UTC the service will not be reachable. All the Fiori applications and custom UIs/applications consuming ODP endpoints or customers accessing ODP via API Management will be impacted.

[Enterprise Messaging] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC all management requests to the service will not be working. Existing running scenarios that only use messaging and do not rely on management requests will not be affected.

[Portal] Between 15:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC a service disruption with a duration of up to 30 minutes will be experienced. Portal will not be available to customers at this time.

[Identity Provisioning Service] Between 16:30 UTC and 17:30 UTC manually triggered and scheduled identity provisioning replications will not work. Identity provisioning proxy functionality will not be available. New tenants will not be onboarded.

[Database Lifecycle Management] Between 17:30 UTC and 18:00 UTC customers will not be able to perform lifecycle management operations on database, nor use persistence related views in the cockpit or commands in the Neo command line tool.

[APJ Region] Planned Upgrade Feb 12, 14:00-14:15 UTC
[Identity Authentication Service] On 12 February 2021, 14:00 UTC - 14:15 UTC, maintenance activities targeting implementation of security patches and database upgrades will be applied in the Identity Authentication – Japan, Identity Authentication – China, Identity Authentication – Australia and Identity Authentication – Singapore regions, as part of an overarching Cloud Platform Major Upgrade.

During this period, a service disruption of up to 5 minutes will be experienced.

Customers will not be able to use their Identity Authentication Service (IAS) tenants for authentication and user management. It will affect all applications connected to IAS tenants in this region (SAP CP applications, SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, IBP, SAP SFSF, Ariba, C/4, etc). All REST API offered by IAS won’t be reachable.

[Feature Flags] Between 14:00 UTC and 14:30 UTC customers will not be able to create/(un-)bind/delete service instances nor access instances via the service dashboard or the REST API of the service.

[Workflow Management Service] Between 14:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC customers will not be able to work with the service (create, export, configure packages will not be possible).

[Commercial Infrastructure] Between 14:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC a service disruption of up to 60 minutes will be experienced. CRUD operations, quota assignments, provisioning of new service instances and SaaS subscriptions\unsubscriptions will not be possible.

[UI5 Flexibility] Between 14:00 UTC and 17:00 UTC Flexibility Services will be down.

A network upgrade that targets improved stability will be applied in the Australia (Sydney) [neo-ap1] region of SAP Cloud Platform, starting from 13 February 2021, 15:00 UTC till 13 February 2021, 18:00 UTC.
This maintenance activity is intended to prevent potential network capacity issues and increase network resilience.

During this timeframe, customers may experience intermittent issues with accessing their applications and performing life-cycle operations.
